EDG hosts "Logo Day" at cMoe!

This past weekend, the Evansville Design Group (EDG) hosted an event, "Logo Day" at cMoe! At the event, kids designed logos for fictional businesses, designed their own business cards, played logo guessing games, and more. EDG is a not-for-profit organization formed to promote education, networking, and enrichment within and among the local design community. cMoe is excited to be partnering with EDG to offer arts education to our patrons! Check out some of the fun we had!

EDG member Bill Nadeau and EDG President Bob Renock man the EDG info table while EDG Vice-President Matt Wagner pretends to be camera-shy.

One of the activities at Logo Day was a create your own business card craft. We loved seeing what careers children chose for themselves, and how they expressed their interest in these careers through the cards!

EDG member Rachel Wambach assists patrons with the business card craft. The patrons in this picture are actually EDG member and cMoe artist-in-residence Samantha Weaver and her son!

We had lots of logos available for kids to color. Here, EDG member Scott Wambach makes an example by coloring a Superman logo.

EDG members Reva Bourgasser, Rachel Wambach, Scott Wambach, and Nick Basham get ready to lead logo design workshops. At the workshops, kids created logos for fictional businesses such as a cookie company, pet shop, music store, sports team, and more!

EDG members Joan deJong and Kenneth Spond assist a patron with his logo design at the workshop.

A big thanks to our EDG volunteers to donated their time and talents to teach kids about design. We are excited to see what other fun events and programs this partnership will bring! For more information about EDG, check out their website: www.evansvilledesign.org
